CERP FEB16.HEIC

After federal Transport Canada Navigable Waters and provincial Water Sustainability Act and Wildlife Act approvals were issued in January 2022, the project team started the modification of the first 300 metres of the southern-most portion of the training berm. The work was completed in April leaving a recreation island for windsports, paddleboarding and kayaking.

Between April and October 2022, the CERP team monitored, measured and analyzed sediment transport through the new opening.

And in February of 2023, the project received permissions from federal and provincial regulators to modify the remaining 550 metres of training berm.

The resulting modification will be 850 metres in total.
